- As I write this, the holidays are nearly over. The rush of the Christmas season is past and the hope of the new year has already entered the stage. Those who think the world will end this year (2012) cling to what they feel are good reasons for this dire predition.
Some of these issues have already been examined in other articles on this site. The purpose of this page, however, is the keep you fairly well informed about events in the world that may both support the coming end or disprove it. Either way, the prediction is a serious fact of life for 2012! Are you ready for the events of this dramatic year? The plan is for this page to receive frequent updates.
A quick look at the events that happened between December 21, 2011 and December 26. 2011. really didn't reveal anything out of the ordinary.
December 21 through December 26, 2011, the following events happened. Violent eartrhquakes rattled Christchurch that measured from 5.8 to 6.0 on the Richter scale. People hoped the quakes were over, but the city was rocked again. There wasn't anything abnormal about the earthquakes themselves. Due to various factors, the nature of the weather was somewhat normal. That's why weather forecasters focus or predict the weather in the first place. Economic collapses seemed to be around the corner, but that could happen at any time. That's an event that could fill up any year. There weren't any noticeable geographic changes. The experts at the Goddard Space Center say that two solar storms will hit the earth on December 28.
"The impact is expected to spark mid to moderate geometric storms at high altitude."
We'll see what happens. Still, this doesn't seem like a dire prediction of communication interruptions.
Decemberf 26 through April 1, 2012. The months have come and gone without any great incidents of worldwide disaster. There has been good weather and bad, some earthquakes, political unrest and the usual amount of unpredictable events. However, nothing really out of the ordinary has occurred_ when you look at the overall picture. My own feelings are that the coming months may be filled with disaster though. Keep in mind that I'm not making a prediction, just a guess. So far, 2012 hasn't presented itself as a doomsday event!
April 1 thorough May 12, 2012. Nothing extraordinary has happened yet, except for one thing. On the home page of Yahoo.com an article recently appeared that spoke about the recent discovery of the oldest Mayan calendar in existence. It completely disputes the December 21, 2012 date as far as the article is concerned. What's the meaning of that?
