Is Obama the Antichrist?
“Of course not!,” you exclaim. But before you make a firm decision about that, give it some thought. You may not think he is the Antichrist but there are many people that are convinced he is. This is one of the hottest topics on the internet! According to some sources, "Nearly a quarter of Republicans believe the Democrat president 'may be the Antichrist'"
Edward Hindson wrote an article for the Tim LaHaye Prophecy Study Bible and wrote about ten basic qualifications for the Antichrist:
He will rise to power in the last days. Daniel 8:19-22
He will not come on the scene until after the rapture 2 Thess. 2:3-8
He will rule the entire world. Revelation 13:7
He will rule by international consent. Revelation 17:12-13
He will rule by deception. Daniel 8:24-25
He will be intelligent and persuasive. Daniel 7:20
He will control the global economy. Revelation 13:16-17
He will be assisted by the False Prophet. Revelation 13:11-18
He will make and break a peace treaty with Israel. Daniel 9:26-27
He will claim to be God. 2 Thess. 2:4
According to o.bamapost.com, Obama is the perfect person to allow, “Full Anti-Christ control of the U.S.”
There are definite similarities between the President and the Antichrist.
He suddenly rose to power in these the last days. Obama also came as a peacemaker that promised peace in Iraq. He has deceived and used flowering words. The disturbing thing about that is that most people believe every word he says even though they know it isn’t all the truth! Though he has presented himself as good and righteous, the rest of the story reveals someone else. No doubt, he is one of the most powerful men on earth.
Obama is supported by 1.5 billion Muslims, Oprah, Louis Farrakanh, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and all American Muslims. He also considers himself the defender of the Muslim faith.
Despite claims of Christianity, it seems our President is actually of the Muslim faith. Perhaps this is reflected by his own failure to publicly take part in our last national day of prayer.
Even Glenn Beck recently wondered aloud, “Is Obama the antichrist?”
Like the Antichrist, Obama is a uniter. His recent speech in Cairo tended to make all the people of the world believe they are going to the same place, have the same God by different names, possess holy writings on a level with the Bible, and should all get along like one big and happy family.
The Antichrist will have to be a man of many allegiances in order for him to be inspiring to everyone and extremely popular. People will hang on every word he says like they seem to with Obama. I’ve lived through several presidents, but I’ve never seen anything like the way Americans seem to take each word the President says like it’s the word of God himself. Each day it seems he gets more powerful and wrecks more havoc.
Scripture speaks of the spirit of Antichrist in 1 John 4. That spirit has been here since the says of Adam and Eve, leading people to doubt God and His Word. The day of the Antichrist himself is at hand.
I think he’ll be a complete counterfeit of Christ and this is one of the ways he will deceive so many people. Is he here right now? Personally, I think so. However, I can’t prove it.
Perhaps he’ll be born of a virgin, though not in the same way as Christ. This is possible through modern technology! Some feel he must come from a Mideast country. Others feel he could come from the United States.
More than a few sources on the internet claim the book of Revelation says the Antichrist will be in his forties and of Muslim ancestry. I don’t need The Charlotte Observer to tell me what the Bible says. The book of Revelation says nothing about the age of the Antichrist, though I tend to think he will be about the same age as Christ during his earthly ministry. No scriptural proof exists for that statement and I know I could be completely wrong about it. It’s just a guess.
Obama says he’s a Christian. Any person can make that claim, however, and only an examination of the facts can provide a hint as to its accuracy. Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs claims the President has never been a Muslim nor was he raised a Muslim. Yet, accusations that he is at least a “closet Muslim” persist.
Jon Christian Ryter of NewsWithViews.com recently wrote that Obama has tried to erase all traces of his Islamic childhood from the record. He went on to say that Obama’s mother and stepfather were devout Islamics. Obama also enrolled in school in Indonesia as a Muslim under his real name. Reports indicate Obama has spent nearly two million dollars covering up his mysterious past. Legal action is pending against the President for violations of Constitutional law, including charges for treason. The process of either misleading or simply not telling the truth clearly points to the one who started this process and was identified by Christ as the father of lies and a murderer from the beginning. This is disturbing, to say the least. When any person misleads or lies, it makes it hard to believe anything he says. In a very real sense, though, President Obama is only one of many.
Simply saying a person is Muslim does not make him one any more than saying you are a Christian makes you one. The true indicator seems to be what you do, not what you say. Our actions don’t come from our words; our words and our actions come from the same place: the heart. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
If you want to know what our President really is, look at what he says and compare it with what he does. I’m thrilled that Obama reportedly felt a “beckoning” to Christ at the Trinity United Church of Christ, but true Christianity is much more than just a beckoning. It is more than learning about Christ and developing a faith. Salvation is found in meeting and receiving Christ himself, an instantaneous event.
The only reason I point this out is that the Antichrist will be a great pretender who will fool the multitudes. There will be an obvious power behind him. No doubt, Obama has a power behind him too. Does this tell us he is the Antichrist? Does the Antichrist, if he's already here, know he's the Antichrist? It seems the President has trouble telling the truth. The words Jesus spoke in John 8:44 apply to all people, even Barack Obama. A walk that apparently contradicts the talk blows away the smokescreens so that the world may see what's really there.
It certainly says something about the man. Here’s what I think this all tells us. If Obama is the Antichrist, the world doesn’t know it yet. That’s because he won’t be revealed until God’s servants are gone to heaven. Just as Obama seemed to come on the world scene from nowhere and quickly move to the forefront, so will the Antichrist appear. We don’t know who he is right now, but it doesn’t take long for the world to grasp on to a new leader. That’s why I think he’s here now, even though we have no idea who he really is. Could it be Obama? I don’t really think so, but he provides a great example of how the Antichrist could arrive on the scene.
